in ALL things...

I have repeated this out loud so many times that I feel as though if asked a question, this may be my automatic response: in ALL things. Why am I repeating this phrase? Because I am struggling to remember that in ALL things He is there and in ALL things He is working for our good. He is there when people lose their lives in a tragic plane accident. He is there at the diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor. He is there when tornados, earthquakes, and landslides rip apart homes and lives. He is there when doctors tell a man that the cancer is still there even after surgery, and now radiation is required. He is there when couples have tried everything but infertility is haunting them. He is there when the ultrasound doesn't show a heartbeat anymore. He is there when hearts are broken because someone didn't choose to fight for them. Yes.....in all these things, God is there. And the good news is that He isn't just there, but He is also moving and working to make good come from it somehow. I tend to forget that He does have purpose in everything....but not always is the purpose evident immediately. Often, purpose isn't seen for long periods of time and sometimes we may question it until we meet Jesus face to face. But always, we should rest because there is purpose. And always, that purpose is GOOD. I guess I needed to document this simply to encourage myself. IN ALL THINGS. It doesn't matter how dim it looks from my viewpoint...what matters is that I let the blood of Christ reign in every situation, because His blood never loses its power. Never loses its power! Maybe that should be the next thing I start repeating to myself. We are on a continual victory march as Christ's heirs....CONTINUAL...meaning one right after another. Wow. Thank you Jesus.
